Unfortunately, we are now living in a deteriorating economic climate that has everyone scrambling in all corners of the world, from close knit middle suburban families, to upper-class citizens that have never had to think twice about where they spend their money. Times so volatile that even the slightest mismanagement or lack of financial planning could send even the most responsible person into a pit of destruction, free falling to the pavement ending with a loud thud. Now more so than ever before people who hate their jobs has now exceeded those individuals who love what they actually do for a living. An unhealthy cynicism has become prevalent in conversations in restaurants and coffee shops around the world created by an economy whose sturdy footing as been replaced with soggy paper towel. What is one to be left with you may ask? It's time to do the "You Thing."  This is the perfect time for an investment in yourself.   Your passion should be your life.  Our passion lies right here in Fashion & Entertainment.

For starters no one likes to be told no.  Especially those of us in the fashion world. Our stubborn nature allows us to always be creating and pressing on. Let’s say for instance you have Melissa. Melissa was once a respected real estate agent that has made her mark in her community, but is now going through some trying times due to the nature of the economy.  What I haven’t told you is that she has a degree in photography & is a make-up artist, loves to do it in her spare time, & wouldn’t sacrifice any of it for a million bucks. What is Melissa to do? Here’s exactly what she does. While Melissa reluctantly searches for some other job, she will go back to what makes her happy. Photography & fashion has helped shape her life, her perspective, the very way in which she views the world. As the search for work continues, Melissa becomes deeper involved in her passion to where she finds herself not shutting her eyes until the wee hours of the morning. Melissa then begins to market herself once again as a photographer, as she did right out of college. Things pickup and she lands her first gig with a friend handling all of the photography at her wedding. Oh and guess what? Just like any wedding you need make-up. She handles everything and does it perfectly. Still waiting for callbacks Melissa has now re-engrained herself into the fashion world and is now once again contributing to what makes this industry go round. Enough of Melissa for now, but do you see the point I am trying to make? There is a select few in this world who actually do what they love full-time and are able to make a living from it. There are even fewer that have 9 to 5’s who can say that they wouldn’t quit tomorrow if given the right opportunity.

Where there lies one's passion lies one's heart! One’s passion serves as home base. Many have sacrificed their home base because it may not be as profitable as you'd like. During these times I guess you can say nothing is profitable except for a few select industries. When one’s 9 to 5 lets them down, one’s passion bring them back up! This is why Fashion & Entertainment will never die!  We will never stop creating!  Oh and if you don't have a passion, you better find one quick!  Time is the enemy of all.  Tick, tick, tick, tick...
